Description

The art of understanding and exploring hidden ideas in texts and the world around us.

When exploring any topic through conceptual inquiry, teachers are trying to develop, for students, learning opportunities that develop skills, knowledge and understanding. By providing opportunities for students in an inquiry to include their attitudes and interests will make the inquiry more relevant and engaging for them. Sometimes it can be tricky to move a topic into a conceptually driven inquiry. This process or model can be used to help move thinking and understanding from the obvious to a more conceptual understanding. This resource can be used to cover all three of these key areas.

Aim: To provide teachers with resources that can be used to introduce, model, collaboratively build ideas and teach critical literacy and deep reading strategies
