EN ESPAÑOL:

Taller de lectura de Cuentos de la selva, de Horacio Quiroga, para maestros con alumnos de 10 a 13 años. Trabajaréis la comprensión lectora y la expresión oral y escrita. Ideal para clases a distancia: comparte el archivo con tus alumnos y trabajadlo juntos. Todo el contenido está en español.

Contenido del taller:
- Biografía de Horacio Quiroga para que tus alumnos conozcan su contexto, con un retrato del autor encargado exclusivamente para este taller :)

- Pequeña reseña sobre la intención del autor con esta obra.
- 8 fichas de trabajo (una por cada cuento): en cada una encontrarás una caja de vocabulario y preguntas sobre el texto. Podéis trabajar con las fichas de manera oral o escrita.

- Club de lectura, una actividad extra que puedes emplear para concluir el taller: 10 preguntas para que tus alumnos reflexionen sobre lo que se llevan consigo del texto.

- También incluye 2 pósters ilustrados con citas del libro que puedes imprimir y colocar en el aula :)

Este taller está diseñado para grupos pequeños (en torno a 10-12 alumnos) y se toma mínimo 10 clases de una hora. Si tu grupo es más numeroso es probable que necesites más tiempo.

Este taller no incluye solucionario: para guiar a tus alumnos en la lectura debes leer el libro primero. Si ya lo leíste, te invito a que lo leas de nuevo junto a ellos: es una experiencia hermosa que puede brindarte nuevas reflexiones.

IN ENGLISH:

Horacio Quiroga's Jungle Tales reading workshop for teachers with students who are 10-13 years old. You will practice reading comprehension, speaking and writing. Great for distance learning - share the file with your students and go through it together. The content of this workshop is all in Spanish.

Workshop’s content:

- Biography of Horacio Quiroga for your students to get to know his context better - includes a portrait of the author commissioned for this workshop only :)

- Short review of the author’s intention with his book.

- 8 worksheets (one per tale), each one with a vocabulary box and questions about the reading. You can use the worksheets to write on them or to guide an oral discussion.

- Reading club, an extra activity that you can use to conclude the workshop: 10 questions for your students to reflect on what they're taking with them from the text.

- It also includes 2 illustrated printable posters with quotes from the book that you can hang in the classroom :)

This workshop is crafted for small groups of about 10-12 students, and it will take you at least 10 one-hour lessons to complete it. If your group is larger, you may need more time.

This workshop doesn't include an answer key: you must read the book first in order to be able to guide your students. If you’ve read it already I invite you to read it again with them: it’s a beautiful experience that may give you new perspectives.
