What educators are saying

I like the fact that it brings the Crusades up to a more modern era for Jerusalem. I think this resource could be even further updated to include modern Israel issues, but it is really strong as it stands. Will definitely use this again. Arttie
My students loved going from station to station on the different topics. They were highly engaged and learned a lot!

Description

In this Crusades stations student activity, students understand the Crusades in the Middle Ages from the significance of Jerusalem to modern conflict in the region still today. Included are SIX STATIONS of student-friendly text and review questions for each section. Students learn the importance of Jerusalem to all three faiths, the events that led to Pope Urban's call to war, the first three Crusades, the overall impact of the wars, and life in the region today to show how religious violence over this territory still has not been resolved.

This Middle Ages lesson is included in the larger Middle Ages Unit Bundle located here!

The six stations that focus on the Crusades are:

✩ The Significance of Jerusalem

✩ Life in Jerusalem

✩ First Crusade

✩ Other Major Crusades

✩ Impact of the Crusades

✩ Life in the Region Today (Balfour Declaration, Palestine, Yom Kippur War, Camp David Accords, etc.)

Each section is reviewed on a station organizer that students use as they navigate the room! Plus, a Google 1:1 compatible resource is included in this product to have students type directly into the organizer!

This resource is great when paired with the very fun and engaging Crusades Digital Choice Board project! Bring technology, choice, and fun to the Middle Ages!
