Description

In creative writing, we often use the phrase "Show me, don't tell me." This worksheet is designed to explain "show vs tell." It uses the story of the Tortoise and the hare in tell and then in show. Teachers should ask which is more engaging and why, direct them to word choice, dialogue, and sensory details. On the back of the worksheet, the students have an opportunity to take a "tell" scenario and "show" the actions instead.
