Description

Discussing the role of The People and Public Opinion is a very important topic within any government, civics, current events or history class. However, nothing helps students to learn information better than actually living it! In this activity, students get to design their own survey, poll their peers, analyze the results and answer critical thinking questions about how political analysts might use their research. DOK 3 and 4! Student-centered learning!

This is consistently one of my students' favorite activities year after year. Students love the ability to take on the roll of a surveyor or political analyst! They really enjoy the creativity of writing their own questions and analyzing results that *they* collected! The most popular part among students is the actual surveying of their classmates in the school. It becomes an activity younger students always look forward to and a memory they take with them even after graduation.
