This spreadsheet runs on macros. Macros are what allows this timetable creator to automatically hide rows and columns so it is printer friendly. Unfortunately, Microsoft Windows introduced a recent update where macros are natively blocked in all excel documents downloaded from the internet. While it is frustrating to users, it is to ensure online safety, which is of critical importance. This spreadsheet will not work as intended unless you follow the simple instructions below.

HOW TO UNBLOCK A MACRO SPREADSHEET?

It requires a few extra clicks before you can get started. By adding these additional steps, Microsoft hopes users will only enable files they trust. The steps to unblock a file are as follows:

1. Close the workbook (spreadsheet) if it is opened

2. Navigate to the location where the workbook is saved

3. Right-click on the file and select Properties from the menu

4. Check the Unblock box, then click OK

It is also recommended that you use this product on a personal device (not a work device) with Windows and Microsoft Excel installed. To keep their files secure, company devices often block documents running macros which will make it difficult for you to get it working as intended.
