Counting Syllables- Lion or Lamb?

This is perfect for early childhood classes and helps early learners listen for and count syllables in words they hear. Use as a large group or small group activity. Using picture cards, students say the word and clap out the syllables. Then they decide if the word is one or two syllables and place it on a lamb mat if it's one syllable or on a lion mat if it's two syllables.
