Core Communication Ultimate Bundle

This is a growing bundle! More lesson plans and slides will be added as they are made.

Do you have students who struggle to participate in whole group activities in the classroom? Do they also struggle with using functional language to communicate? From these two issues arose the idea to create a functional communication group in order to target 1) functional language skills and 2) a structured environment in which students could learn routines needed in order to successfully participate in whole group activities.

This product includes weekly lesson plans that were designed to help students to participate in whole group lessons using core words and thematic stories and crafts. Each month comes with five weekly lesson plans and includes:

- Targeted monthly vocabulary and accompanying pictures

- A core word of the week

- 25 Google Slides™ to target each core word of the week, including real-life images and visual sentence strips to support all levels of communication

- A suggested read aloud

- Suggested vocabulary from the read aloud to target

- A suggested thematic song/nursery rhyme that relates to either the core word or suggested book

- A thematic craft with accompanying visual directions

- Fringe vocabulary for a large majority of the books suggested

In addition, I have included a visual schedule, a "Core Word of the Week" chart, visual representations of all the core words that are targeted across the months, an explanation of what core words are and why they are important, and explanations of all of the different components of the core communication group that are currently being implemented by the special educator and I at my school.

THIS IS A GROWING BUNDLE. It currently includes five weekly lessons each for January, February, March, April, May, and June, as well as Google Slides™ to accompany all twenty core words included in January, February, March, April, May, and June. July lesson plans and slides will be added by the 15th of June (and so forth), and if purchased now, you will be able to download all additional months' lesson plans and slides for free! (The price will be increasing with each additional month added).
