    Description

These fun and highly engaging Coordinate Graphing Mystery Picture Packets are a must-have addition to your seasonal math resources! By plotting and connecting the ordered pairs on a Coordinate Grid students will reveal the seasonal Mystery Picture. Each picture is available in a Quadrant 1 only graph and all 4 quadrants graph.

How will this Coordinate Graphing Mystery Pictures packet benefit my students?

    • A Mystery Picture is a great motivator for our students to practice plotting points correctly.
    • Learning how to plot points on a coordinate plane will benefit your students in future grades as well as in other subject areas such as science.
    • ALL your students will be engaged as they work through this packet.

How is this packet different from other Graphing activities?

    • A distinguished feature about this packet is that the coordinates are on the same page as the graph, other graphing activities have students fumbling between 2 pages to complete their work.
    • This download gives you many options to choose from when creating your student packets. Choose the option that your students need.

    Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Use a pair of perpendicular number lines, called axes, to define a coordinate system, with the intersection of the lines (the origin) arranged to coincide with the 0 on each line and a given point in the plane located by using an ordered pair of numbers, called its coordinates. Understand that the first number indicates how far to travel from the origin in the direction of one axis, and the second number indicates how far to travel in the direction of the second axis, with the convention that the names of the two axes and the coordinates correspond (e.g., 𝘹-axis and 𝘹-coordinate, 𝘺-axis and 𝘺-coordinate).
