Description
Contraction surgery is a fun way for students to practice making contractions. This file contains directions for how to perform contraction surgery, 40 bones with words, a sheet of apostrophe bandages, and a sheet of doctor badges. To complete the activity, students will "perform surgery" (cut out letters) on bones with words. Each bone has two words. Some letters need to be cut out in order to make the words into a contraction. Students put the bones pieces back together with an apostrophe bandage in order to make the contraction.
