Description
This classroom guidance lesson addresses conflict resolution. Students discuss reasons why people might address conflict via social media rather than in person and then discuss pros/cons of doing so. Students are introduced to 6 simple steps to addressing conflict face-to-face and the practice demonstrating skills with given conflict scenarios.
I use this lesson with 6th grade, but it is appropriate for grades 5-6. Includes lesson plan (objectives, outline, materials list, ASCA standards alignment), visual aids, 16 conflict scenario cards, optional PowerPoint slides, and objectives assessment checklist.
