Description

This is a challenging front/back worksheet that tests Spanish students' knowledge of the conditional tense and the imperfect (or past) subjunctive tense. The front features a huge chart that gives the students a verb and a subject, and asks them to conjugate it in both the conditional and past subjunctive. (It also includes a "key" or legend to tell them which ones are irregular in one or both tenses.)

The back features 20 practice sentences, each of which contains a conditional verb and a past subjunctive verb. For example, "I would start my homework, if I could find my book!" They are not always in the same order, so students must look for the "si" clause (the "if" clause) to determine where the subjunctive goes.

This is probably best suited to an Honors-level class. Enjoy!
