What educators are saying
Description
Need a quick lesson to review or introduce topics like conciseness, redundancy, or wordiness? This lesson and practice is a great way to prep for tests like the ACT/SAT or teach CCSS L.7.3.A in middle school.
In this lesson, students will:
• Learn what conciseness is and what it could look like (i.e. redundancy, wordiness, passive voice, and more)
• Practice (whole-class, small group, or independently) cutting words and phrases from provided sentences
• Get a chance to pick sentences from their own writing and practice making them more concise.
This 4-page download includes a ready-to-print PDF and EDITABLE student handouts with answer key.
