Description
Need a new activity for helping students finally get the commutative and associative properties? This activity has students using color to decide if a number sentence represents the commutative or associative property (both addition and multiplication are used) and it's differentiated iwith 3 versions! All versions look the same in order to be respectful to students of all levels.
Version 1 is the easiest and most basic. It has no negative numbers and few fractions.
Version 2 is the medium-level version. It has negative numbers and fractions.
Version 3 is the most challenging. It has negative numbers, fractions, and variables.
