Description

Community Service Projects - Project Based Learning

This product will be useful in helping you find ways to reach out to your community and help in doing for others.

I know that it is a goal of many schools to reach out to their local community and see how they can help others. These acts of kindness can make such a difference in the life of another.

Please use these pages to help get you started. Let me know if you have any other ideas and I will add them if possible.

Here is a look at the ideas included in this product:
Cheer up children in hospitals
Thank Law Enforcement for their service
Thank Firefighters for their service
Thank Troops for their service
Collect food for local food pantries / homeless shelters
Collect items, food, etc. for local animal shelters
To cheer up people in nursing homes

All of the ideas listed above include a flyer to be sent home, a page that can be given to families to share with others who may be interested in helping with these acts of kindness, and reminder slips that can be stapled in student folders/planners.

Also included is a certificate to thank any students, classrooms, schools or others that participate in these acts of kindness.

There will be some research involved...but only to find your local hospitals, police departments, etc. Everything else has been done for you to get you started.
