Description

This is a set of 88 pictures that are 1.75 inch by 1.75 inch in size. The majority of the pictures are digital pictures of common items such as food and toys. I have also included some verb pictures such as: "I Want" , "Play" "Eat" "Drink" and some functional communication pictures such as "bathroom" , "more" and all done" The pictures have a white background so the child can focus on the picture of the item itself rather than the background.

The PDF file of the pictures can be printed, laminated, cut out, and attached with hook and loop tape to a binder. I often use a small binder and put the pictures on plastic binder divider pages. Your child or student can then use the pictures to request the wanted item or toy.

Using digital pictures of the actual items is often the first step when teaching a child to use pictures as a form of communication. They are more concrete to a child then line drawings or typical "clip art" pictures.

Once your child/student has mastered requesting with a single picture, use the "I Want" picture with a verb picture to expand his/her sentence structure.
