Description

This is a collection of printable templates that you can use to help guide your K-1 students towards producing written work to meet standards seven and eight (research to build and present knowledge). The packet includes four kindergarten and eight first grade printable templates for standard seven that can be used and repeated throughout the year. The packet also includes eighteen printable templates that can be used to meet standard eight. These eighteen templates focus on various science topics common in K-1 grades, including weather, seasons, day and night, five senses, push and pull, sounds, plants, animals, positional words, and scientific tools. (The wording for the eighth standard is identical for kindergarten and first grade; therefore, I have made one set of 18 printables that can be used for both levels.) The templates include many sentence stems and picture clues to help students become more independent with their writing. Please see the preview file for samples.
