Description

PLEASE LOOK AT THE PREVIEW (THE THUMBNAILS FOR THE VOCAB CARDS ARE TOO LARGE TO USE AS THUMBNAILS, BUT YOU CAN SEE THEM AND MANY OTHER ITEMS IN THE PREVIEW) If you are looking for Math activities to help your students master the Common Core standards this kit will be perfect in your class. In this EDITABLE polka dot theme word wall packet, you will find 127 math vocabulary cards (that go along with the Common Core Standards in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade) along with the definitions for each word. The vocab word is on one card and the definition on another. You may choose to match them up on a word wall or let the students match them while displayed on a bulletin board or in a pocket chart. You can also use these as a matching game in a math center or to introduce new vocabulary to your students. There are also some blank cards with each border to add your own words and definitions. In addition, I have included some posters to display in your class that focus on math skills. I would suggest to print these on cardstock and laminate them so that you can use them for more than one year.
In addition to the vocabulary cards, I have included several practice pages to help your students master a variety of skills. The items included are listed below:
*blank calendars for all 12 months to use throughout the school year during calendar time
*100s chart and 50s chart to display, pass out, or use in centers
*100s chart and 50s chart for students to practice writing their numbers
*number talk record sheet to use for daily practice that includes many different math skills that should be mastered (that goes with your number of the day)
*Place value mini poster
*Written number mini poster
*Skip Counting mini poster

If polka dots are not your thing, and you would like to see this kit with a dfferent decor, please let me know. If you have any questions or problems, please contact me, Beth Miller (The Smartie Factory) at plabol1@yahoo.com.

Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group, e.g., by using matching and counting strategies.
Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record each composition or decomposition by a drawing or equation (e.g., 18 = 10 + 8); understand that these numbers are composed of ten ones and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.
