Combinations and Permutations Guided Notes with Video

These Combinations and Permutations Guided Notes and Worksheet walk through the key parts of Combinatorics (counting) in Geometry. The notes start with the Fundamental Counting Principal (which likely was talked about during probability) and introduces the concepts of factorials, permutations, and combinations. Practice examples are built into the notes over combinations and permutations. The third page is a worksheet over combinations and permutations. Two answer keys are provided: one with only the definitions filled in for classroom instruction purposes and one full key with all information (including work) filled in. These notes would work great on their own or with my Probability unit. (The practice problems do not specifically ask questions about probability, but could easily be adapted to ask probability questions).

Also included in the zip folder is an mp4 video file recording of the lesson. This is a zoom recording of my screen as I teach through the lesson notes. All audio and worked out examples are included within the video. This would be a great resource for an online class, a flipped classroom, while you have a sub, or just as a re-teaching resource for students to use.
