Description
COLORING/GEOGRAPHY - LAS BANDERAS DE PAÍSES HISPANOHABLANTES
This worksheet is here to have your students identify the flag, continent, and capital of each of the Spanish speaking countries. There are some extra flags included (The United States and Brazil). I added these flags because people always think Brazil speaks Spanish, and they don't. They speak Portuguese. People also assume that the official language of the United States is English, and the U.S. does NOT have an official language.
This activity is a worksheet that gives 6 flags per side (a total of 4 pages, 6 flags on each page). There is a word bank at the top so that students aren't completely lost on where to look for a country's flag. Students have to write the correct country name under each flag. They also have to write the capital and circle the continent that the country is located on. After all of that is completed, they need to color in each flag the correct color.
This may require students to use their devices to look up material (if you don't have it in the classroom already). The answer key is provided for you in case you need it. You can also project the answer key so that students can see the colors of the flag.
HOW I USE THIS ACTIVITY:
- Sub plans
- Geography identification
- Country Identification
- Capital identification
- A day where I need a break from talking, and allow students to complete more independent work.
