Colorado History Research Bundle: State Symbols and Landmarks

The Colorado State Symbols Research Project is perfect for the beginning of the school year to introduce your students to Social Studies and Colorado history. It's also a great project for Open House or to use on state testing days when you want students to do academic work, but also have a bit more fun. Your students will research a variety of Colorado state symbols, including their connection to Colorado Indigenous People, and will create a booklet with information and illustrations for each state symbol.

The Colorado Landmark Research Project is another great end of the year or Open House project. Your students will choose a landmark to research (more than 40 Colorado landmarks are included) and will create a PowerPoint presentation and choose from 3 physical projects (a diorama, a travel poster, or a commemorative stamp) to represent their landmark.
