Description

Challenge your students to crack the maze to practice their math facts! Print and this one is ready to go. Included are six mystery mazes tasking students to color the facts that total that number. Each maze includes an answer key!

These mazes are perfect for your first grade or beginning of year second grade center of the week to practice your students' math fact fluency in a fun and exciting way!

These mazes are self-checking: A child will know that if they did not create a fluid, un-broken path from start to finish, then they have not completed their challenge successfully. If they have, it is a good sign they have mastered those math facts! :-)

Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known. (Commutative property of addition.) To add 2 + 6 + 4, the second two numbers can be added to make a ten, so 2 + 6 + 4 = 2 + 10 = 12. (Associative property of addition.)
Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies. By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
