What educators are saying

I am very pleased with the resource I purchase. I believe the description clearly conveys what is represented. Thank you for sharing your talents on TPT.
Fantastic! My students have a love/hate relationship with maps, and these are ones they actually liked! Thank you!

Description

This bundle contains mapping activities for the Mid-Atlantic, New England, and Southern Colonies that students can:

Glue into their interactive notebooks (the map themselves are a 1/2 page--printed two to a page to conserve paper), use as an independent activity, or as homework.

It contains a separate page that has map instructions for the Mid-Atlantic Colonies that asks students to:

Label the colonies of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Use the map legend to draw the economic specializations (livestock, grains, fish) for each of the Mid-Atlantic colonies as previously mentioned.

Color each of the Mid-Atlantic colonies.

It contains a separate page that has map instructions for the New England Colonies that asks students to:

Label the colonies of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

Use the map legend to draw the economic specializations (fishing, shipbuilding, naval supplies, metal tools and equipment) for each of the New England colonies as previously mentioned.

Color each of the New England colonies.

It contains a separate page that has map instructions for the Southern Colonies that asks students to:

Label the colonies of Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Use the map legend to draw the economic specializations (tobacco, rice, cotton, indigo, forest products) for each of the Southern colonies as previously mentioned.

Color each of the Southern colonies.

It has been successful helping my students to become familiar with the colonies and examples of their economic specializations.

It covers VA SOL USI.5b focusing on the mapping and examples of economic specialization component. It also contains an answer key for each of the colonies for teacher reference.

**Although this product is VA specific, please read the product description carefully to see if it would also align with your state's standards of learning**
