Collaborative Poster - All Are Welcome Here

This collaborative poster (All Are Welcome Here) art activity is great to build community in your classroom. It also creates a beautiful work of art to put on a bulletin board that students can be proud of! This is a great message to have hanging on the walls of your classroom at the beginning of the school year. This activity gives students a sense of belonging in the classroom they will be sharing all year long.

There are 35 pieces that make up one 135 cm (length) x 100 cm (width) poster, so there should be enough for each student in your class to do at least one! If you have extras, you can also colour one yourself as the teacher, or have other teachers who work with your class colour in a piece to symbolize community.

How to use this resource:

Give each student a piece of the poster at random. Have them colour in their piece, but do not reveal the design until everyone has finished colouring. Have the class work together to solve the puzzle. Hang the poster up on a bulletin board as a perfect reminder that everyone belongs!
