Collaborative Active Learning Color Wheel Art Icebreaker Game
- PDF
Description
This Color Mix and Mingle active learning art game is fun for any group of learners. It only requires colored slips of paper which can be printed from the PDF download. Follow along with my instructional video where I use visuals, text, and my audio narration to lead an all class interactive game or use the PDF to guide the game. Students will be demonstrating by through active measures (regrouping, moving, and collaborating)
- an understanding of primary and secondary colors
- color mixing (primary colors making secondary colors)
- placement of primaries and secondaries on the color wheel
This activity is a fun icebreaker game at the beginning of the year to help students mix and mingle in a fun and engaging way. The visuals provided in both the PDF and video help students understand color mixing concepts even if this is new material. That makes this activity accessible to students in all elementary grades.
