Description

Clown, an original piece by Ronda Bowe Kustick, is a fictional account of the elephant who joined the Circus in the late 1800’s. Clown was captured in Africa and brought to the Paris Zoo, transferred to the London Zoo and finally sailed to America to join the Circus. The story is told by Peter, Clown’s cockney caretaker. Both roles are extremely physical and the role of Peter perfects the Cockney dialect while the role of Clown is an excellent exercise in the physicality of the movements and moods of an elephant. A challenging piece, Clown runs 15 minutes.
