What educators are saying
Description
This close read has two non-fiction selections with activities; a great way to incorporate compare/contrast of two selections as well as cross-curricular subject matter for back to school or anytime you need students to do paired reading assignments.
Each paragraph is numbered. These are core-aligned with text dependent questions, vocabulary work, comparisons, and writing. It's a great supplement to online district resources that might not have this kind of context.
This resource would be suitable for assigning to student devices . It has 21 DIGITAL EASEL PAGES with no prep.
If you purchase open the green view files tab to get access to both the PDF and digital Easel pages. You can choose the pages for your student's devices. Simply go to edit pages and remove the ones you wish to remove for any given assignment. If you wish to change your selections you can revert back to the original pages and choose again. I like this option a lot!
It can be used as small group intervention, whole group work, independent work, or buddy work. This resource lends itself to writing opinions about preferences of chocolate vs vanilla.
