Thank you for your interest in the Leaf Characteristics/Types Clip Art set! This set includes 15 color and 134 black & white leaves illustrating some of the main characteristics of leaves.
The clip art images depict the following leaf characteristics or types:
Leaf with Palmate Veins - veins in the blade radiate from one central spot
Leaf with Parallel Veins - veins in the leaf run the length of the blade
Leaf with Pinnate Veins - veins in the leaf emerge from a single vein
Needle Shaped Leaves - leaves are narrow, long and pointed (i.e., pines needles)
Palmately Compound Leaf - blades are divided into leaflets radiating from a central point
Pinnately Compound Leaf - blades are divided into leaflets emerging from multiple points along a common axis
Simple Leaf Palmately Lobed - an undivided blade having a deeply indented margin; veins radiating from one central spot
Simple Leaf Pinnately Lobed - an undivided blade having a deeply indented margin; veins emerging from a single vein
Simple Leaf, Entire Margin - undivided blade with smooth edges
Simple Leaf, Serrated Margin - undivided blade with toothed edges
As a bonus, there are 3 color and 3 black & white leaves without veins/lines to use in your projects (on cover pages, on flash cards, etc.).
These images are high resolution (300dpi), vector drawn, so they can be enlarged or made smaller without losing resolution. All images are in png format only.
