Puzzle "Peaces" Activity is great for the beginning of the school year or even when you just need to have that classroom community feeling again! This is a lesson that helps create classroom unity and acceptance among students.

If you are looking for a first day of school activity, beginning of the school year activity or just a way to support your classroom management during the school year, this is the activity you need :-) It brings together students and allows them to reflect on themselves and what makes them special and unique.

I use this at the beginning of every school year as it helps build a classroom community and allows me to learn more about each student. This activity also allows for students to learn about each other! It's fun and hands-on!

*I updated the product to include 34 separate, computer generated puzzle pieces.

This product includes:

1. Before you start your lesson set-up and preparation steps

2. Step-by-step lesson plan

3. List of materials needed

4. Discussion questions

5. Student Observations Note-Taking Sheet

6. A separate file of each puzzle piece (34 pieces or 18 pieces)

FOR EVEN MORE PIECES: You can enlarge each puzzle piece when you copy them and cut some of the pieces in half, depending on how many more you need. You can also choose to make multiple houses (maybe groups of students per house) to create a neighborhood for your class.

Definitely appropriate for any age classroom K-12!
