Classroom Cheers and Chants | Positive Classroom Management & Celebration Tool

Classroom Cheers are hands down one of my favorite tools for building a positive classroom environment. I honestly can’t imagine teaching without them and know that you are and your students are going to love them too!!

This resource is an easy, fun, and effective classroom celebration tool that contains 36 different cheers and two organization options: you can choose to use the cheer sticks or the cheer cards and posters.

These cheers will help establish a positive learning environment where each student is celebrated, confidence grows, and students feel safe to learn and try. Watch your participation and motivation increase with each cheer! You and your students will love using these cheers throughout the day!

This resource includes:

• 36 cheers (in color and black/white)
• Instructions on how and when to use the cheers
• Organization Option #1: Cheer Sticks--includes container label (3 size options) along with the cheer cards that are folded and glued onto larger craft sticks
• Organization Option #2: Cheer Cards--includes a Cheer of the Day and Cheer of the Week poster (4 different options for each) along with cheer cards that can be used with the poster

You can use the classroom cheers after students:

• do work on the board
• give an answer
• show critical thinking
• share a piece of their writing aloud to the class
• are helpers in front of the class
• are “caught” being good (for example, you see someone be kind to a friend)
• finishing working on a difficult task (when everyone has worked hard, I will say to the class something like: “You all have done such a great job working today! Let’s give everyone a High 5-”You deserve a hand!”)
• any time you want to encourage and give praise!
