Description

Looking for fun worksheets or review pages for your Classifying Matter lessons? If so, then look no further! This resource consists of two “hidden image” coloring pages and one puzzle page.

If you like this style of worksheet, you will love my Chemistry Review Bundle Chemistry Review Bundle which includes 16 pages like these here. All of these review pages are also including in my cost-saving, amazing Chemistry Bundle!

Each page is completely editable and accompanied by full solutions. Your students will receive quick feedback on their own understanding because the coloring pages and puzzle will show them whether they are on the right track. So, take out those colored pencils from their case, your students will appreciate this!

This resource consists of two coloring pages and one puzzle page in a zipped folder:
• The first, “Compound or Element: Find the Hidden Image” asks students to classify each substance (name and chemical formula provided) as either a compound or an element. By shading elements in black and leaving compounds blank/white, they reveal the hidden image of a panda.
• The second, “What does the clock do when it is still hungry?” has students classify each substance as an element, compound, homogeneous mixture or heterogeneous mixture. Answering the questions correctly leads the students to find the punch line of the title joke.
• The third, “Classifying Matter: Find the Hidden Image” again asks students to classify each substance as an element, compound, homogeneous mixture or heterogeneous mixture. Answering the questions correctly leads them to color regions of the image, ultimately creating the image of an airplane flying in the sky. (Colors used: blue, red, yellow, black, white/blank)

The student pages are included as a PDF file as well as an editable .docx file. The complete solutions are provided as a PDF file. Check out the preview above for a closer look!
