Description

Intersections between historical context and literature are essential to comprehension, but it can be a challenge to help students see how disparate topics such as economics, politics, and social movements affect literature.

That's where this resource helps! With this resource, you can help students understand the intersection between social class and Victorian literature.

Further, this resource works for student with all levels of prior knowledge. There's a notes and graphic organizer section for classes new to the concept and two versions of an advanced option for classes more comfortable with Victorian literature.

In each version, students read a passage and answer a series of short answer questions about how class appears within the text. Answer keys are included!

I designed this for use with my Pride and Prejudice unit, but you could use this with any Victorian writer!

Ready to print and use! No prep! No worries! It's all ready to go!

To make this resource as flexible as possible, I have included an editable Google Form. I have also included a Google Slides, so teachers can edit the directions and questions to meet the needs of diverse learners! Since this is a Google resource, TPT will automatically create a copy of both in your Google Drive.

SAVE MORE with the Pride and Prejudice Printables Bundle. This bundle includes 8 resources, 85 questions, and 70 pages! If you purchased these lessons individually, you'd pay $17.50, but with the bundle discount you can get all 8 lessons for $12.00. That's $5.50 in savings! That covers the price of TWO of the resources below! Bundle includes"
