Description
In The Class Zodiac Table in Word resource, students create a Microsoft Word table of class zodiac signs. This activity is differentiated for use by all students, including mainstream, beginner ELLs, low readers, and SpeciaL Ed.
I’m always amazed at the number of students who have never heard of zodiac signs. Many students are interested in learning more about them and this activity includes doing some online research to learn more about their sign and the associated traits.
Resources to provide support for all learners include:

- Western Zodiac chart
- class data
Do a quick survey of your class for the chart data; a zodiac chart is provided with dates to help students can identify their zodiac sign. If your classes are remote or time is limited, use the provided class data.
Skills used in this activity include:
- Insert a table in Word.
- Merge and center a row.
- Insert WordArt into a table row and adjust row height.
- Align Center in the table.
- Insert an image in a table cell.
- Use In Front of Text and Square text wraps.
- Highlight text.
- Change the color of the table lines.
- Insert a line art page border.
This resource can be used for Distance Learning or in the classroom. Post the resources on your LMS and you're ready to go!
Most students will complete this activity in one class; others may take a little longer, depending on how interested they are in finding out about their astrological sign!
