Description

The History Channel’s Clash of the Gods series includes a comprehensive and worthwhile account of the background of the epic, The Odyssey. Students will see exciting reenactments of the stories with fantastic animations and computer effects to enhance the viewing experience. Expert scholars add commentary. Two different one-hour videos will provide students a supportive context and some fascinating information about the journey. Episode 6 focuses on Odysseus’s journey to Troy up to his experience with the Cyclops. Episode 7 continues the story until he reaches Ithaca and resumes his kingship.

The film viewing guides can serve as notes, especially for struggling students. Most questions are fill-in-the-blank. An answer key for both episodes is included. The video is available to stream from Amazon.com for a small fee.
