Description

This companion lesson to "Clark the Shark" by Bruce Hale teaches students self-control and how to handle their thoughts, feelings, and actions.

✅ It includes digital for Google Slides™, PowerPoint, and printable resources!

THIS RESOURCE INCLUDES:

Digital for Google Slides™ presentation and sorting game. Students learn about self-control and strategies for how to "stay cool" and in control of their behavior. 24 interactive drag-and-drop scenarios allow students to practice sorting between "in control" and "out of control" choices. Fillable text boxes let students reflect on their own behavior and choices.
A PowerPoint version of the presentation that teaches the same content, but without the digital sorting game included.
A printable scenario sorting mat game with 24 scenario cards. Students read the scenario and either tell Clark, "it's time to cool your jets!" or "way to stay cool!" by placing the scenario card on the appropriate spot on the mat. Both a single mat option (perfect for projecting on a document camera) and a two mats option (great for smaller groups to incorporate movement) are included.

✅ 2 instructional posters that explain self-control.
2 printable worksheets and 2 coloring pages.
✅ Document that shows how the lesson is aligned to ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors.

✅ Instructional materials included in both full color and black/white!
