Description

Unleash the inner art detective in your students with this engaging and thought-provoking activity! Whether conducted independently or in small groups, students will critically view and analyze five paintings depicting the mythological sorceress, Circe.

This activity works nicely as a pre-reading activity before studying Madeline Miller's Circe, or Homer's The Odyssey.

In this assignment, students will sharpen their observational skills, decipher hidden meanings, and unravel the meanings behind famous artworks. From decoding colors and symbols to interpreting facial expressions and composition, "Art Detective" will challenge students to think creatively and analytically.
