Christmas Tapestry Smartboard Langauge Unit

As SLPs we have to address a wide range of language objectives. This is an interactive Smartboard unit that can be used to work on language objectives. There are interactive notebook components included in the body of the Smartboard unit. There is a movie on youtube for the book in case you want to play it instead of read the book over and over again. It is about 19 minutes long.

The following strategies and skills are addressed in the unit:
nonfiction - prior knowledge chart
semantic analysis
compare/contrast
context clues
vocabulary
discussion pre/post story on comprehension
prediction
retell
making connections
problem solving (analytical, critical)
How to - explaining

This unit can be done over a period of 5-10 consecutive days or over a few weeks of language therapy.
