What educators are saying

These were great to use before winter break. I gave each class period a different one to complete so they didn't spoil it for anyone.
My students loved this, even though it was challenging for them and many of them made a lot of mistakes. The wall art was great!

Description

This Christmas Math Activity bundle includes the following Christmas and winter themed mystery pictures for graphing in all four quadrants on the coordinate plane:

These activities provide students with practice graphing in all four quadrants on the coordinate plane. Coordinates include positive and negative, whole and half numbers (example: (6, -2.5)). It's great for "early finishers" or can be used as an extra credit assignment. Perfect for the month of December!

I have included two versions of the list of coordinates- one of which is labeled with the image name and the other is blank which provides students with a bit of suspense while graphing the points :)

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Understand a rational number as a point on the number line. Extend number line diagrams and coordinate axes familiar from previous grades to represent points on the line and in the plane with negative number coordinates.
Find and position integers and other rational numbers on a horizontal or vertical number line diagram; find and position pairs of integers and other rational numbers on a coordinate plane.
Solve real-world and mathematical problems by graphing points in all four quadrants of the coordinate plane. Include use of coordinates and absolute value to find distances between points with the same first coordinate or the same second coordinate.
