Description
This Christmas Warm Up activity is a “fun and exciting” way to get kids in the Holiday spirit. This is perfect for PE or active classrooms and is designed for use with a wide range of ages for students in grades Kindergarten through 6th. This Christmas PE Warm Up can be used in small groups, partners, stations or as a large group activity. This game can be implemented in a gymnasium or a large empty classroom space.
This Warm Up Activity was created to meet the SHAPE National PE Standards and will reinforce many of the concepts that a typical PE teacher would use throughout the school year. Use this activity in the weeks leading up to Christmas to get your kids up and moving, working on fitness, agility, fine motor skills and cooperation.
My students beg me to play this game every year! They are so busy having fun they do not even realize just how much exercise they are getting. Many of my Elementary colleagues have borrowed this game for their classroom Christmas theme days and parties.
