Description

The memory match game compares weights (ounces, pounds, tons) and volume (fluid ounces, cups, quarts, gallons), and provides real world examples for scholars to match to their appropriate unit. There are 2 examples for each unit, which should help scholars avoid mistakes.

The game comes with memory match cards, 14 pictures and 14 units for a deck of 28 cards (problem cards have a letter on top, and a direction on bottom, solution cards do not). Your purchase comes with 2 sets of directions that can make the memory game easier or harder to complete, along with a key for the teacher, and a work space for scholars to record their work, work space can be handed in and checked, we sometimes use our work area as our exit ticket.

TEACHER INFORMATION for MEMORY MATCH

The solutions are listed next to the problems, which means it is easy to modify the length of the game and the number of cards by just removing a paper from the “deck”. There are 14 problems total, which means 28 cards all together.

Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using standard units of grams (g), kilograms (kg), and liters (l). Add, subtract, multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or volumes that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as a beaker with a measurement scale) to represent the problem.
Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
