What educators are saying

I used this for a classroom lesson on friendship and kindness. I paired it with the book Chrysanthemum. The students loved it and loved the paper doll activity! They really enjoyed folding them up and giving ideas as to what we can say to promote kindness to help "un-wrinkle" them.
My students love this activity. Its a really great resource that I use with small group of mini lessons.

Description

This lesson of friendship, respect and empathy called, Don’t Laugh at Me, helps create a more accepting and respectful school community! A great first day or first week of school activity.

When someone says unkind words it hurts us. Once you say hurtful things, you can’t take them back. Saying “sorry” or “I was just kidding,” doesn’t take the sting of those words away.  Long after you have forgotten what you’ve said, the person you talked mean to will remember it.

Please download the preview for a closer look. This lesson will have a positive impact! Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
