Character Adjectives Word List (Excel Spreadsheet)

This is a list of 254 carefully selected character adjectives (formatted as a 10-page Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet) that I have used in the following ways:

1. During the first week of class, I have assigned students the project of researching and typing brief definitions of each word, and completing the column that says "This word describes me because ...". The projects are submitted electronically.

2. On the first day of class, I have used Microsoft Excel's filter function to select a shorter (20-25), 1-page list of adjectives to give to students as an icebreaker / warmup worksheet.

3. I have combined students' electronic project submissions into a bulletin board that celebrated self-awareness.
