Chapter 2 Unit Plan for Auténtico (Spanish) 1 Textbook

The Capítulo 2 Scope & Sequence accompanies the Savvas: Auténtico 1 textbook. It includes 5 weeks (24 lessons) of hour-long Spanish 1 lessons that covers 2A and 2B and ensures students will be able to talk about their lives at school, including their classes, schedule, and classrooms. They answer questions like “What is Spanish class like?” and “Who teaches math class?” They also learn subject pronouns, how to conjugate -AR verbs, definite and indefinite articles, estar, and location words.

Each lesson is ACTFL standards-aligned and comes with clickable links to the presentations, notes, and activities. Answer keys are included. I utilize Google Slides and Google Docs for presentations and notes. There is also a review and test included!

Disclaimers:

*The activities with page numbers (not direct links to documents) in the scope and sequence align with the Auténtico 1 textbook but the vocabulary is the same as the Realidades 1 textbook. Also, any objective marked with an * was skipped as it was not deemed a priority by our school.

*I stopped creating fill-in-the-blank notes for students for each topic because my school encouraged student ownership and accountability. But, I always include the notes answer key per topic and it's easy to create your own by making a copy and adding lines. Here's an example of how most notes are listed in most unit plans:
