Description

This .zip file contains materials for a middle school science lesson that compares the functions of cell organelles with parts of a classroom, as part of a unit on living things. Pictures and ideas are provided to turn you classroom into a giant cell analogy. Students will be forced to learn organelle functions because it will be all around them! The unit was designed for 6th graders in NYC.

1 SMARTboard .notebook lesson presentation, including numerous pictures to help you and your students decorate the classroom and turn it into one big cell! (18 slides)
-PowerPoint version of the same lesson presentation (18 slides)
1 skeleton outline notes sheet that follows the lesson presentation
1 homework assignment
