Description

Cause and Effect

Mini Lesson

Task Cards

Which is deadlier, a toilet or a toaster? Students will learn about cause and effect, practice with task cards, and apply it to longer passages. The longer passages argue which is deadlier- a toilet or a toaster. My class had so much fun with this lesson!

I wrote this lesson for my small reading group that needed help with cause and effect. I included an anchor chart, task cards, short story, and cause and effect questions. This is 20 pages of intense cause and effect practice and intervention.

Included:

  • Task Cards *Pages 3-8 can now be printed double sided! Save time- no glueing needed!
  • Fiction story with cause and effect questions
  • Thinking map
  • Two non-fiction articles with matching flow maps
  • Differentiated final assignment
