Catherine Called Birdy Novel Introduction-SmartBoard Interactive Lesson

I use this SmartBoard presentation as an introduction to the novel study of Catherine, Called Birdy by Karen Cushman. The presentation delivers background information about the time period of the book as well as vocabulary introduction. The information is presented in an entertaining and creative manner that grabs students' attention. The whole presentation requires student interaction. SmartBoard Smart Response Responders can be used with this SmartBoard presentation. You DO NOT need the responders for the presentation to be successful. I have included on the first page of the presentation instructions on how I use the presentation in my classroom.
