Cat, Hat, Smash: Speech-Language Activities | Dr. Seuss Inspired Growing Bundle

Celebrate 'Read Across America' with these Dr. Seuss inspired activities! Each activity comes in color and black/white. This GROWING bundle includes the following:

• Cat, Hat, Smash - Verbs: Build a sentence about each picture, then color or cover the egg. Verbs included: writing, singing, reading, kicking, dancing, and painting.

• Cat, Hat, Smash - Articulation: Say your word, then cover or color the egg. Includes 6 target sounds with prompts in the initial, medial and final position. More target sounds will be added to the unit. Sounds included:
• /k/: kite, key, monkey, rocket, lock, shark
• /g/: guitar, goat, iguana, penguin, mug, pig
• /r/: rainbow, rocket, carrot, gorilla, jar, car
• /r/ blends: bread, crab, dragon, fries, grasshopper, pretzel
• /s/: soap, sun, grasshopper, baseball, bus, horse
• /s/ blends: skeleton, slide, s'more, snail, spider, star

• Open-ended activity for speech or language: Use dot makers, pom-poms, mini erasers, play dough or magnetic chips as reinforcement while targeting students' goals.

• Do-A-Dot: Find your Sounds in the Story. As students find their sounds in a story have them dab or color a picture.
