This is a self-directed lesson that is easy for students to follow and it exposes them to the different job opportunities available during the holiday season and the benefits of having a seasonal job. It also will give students the opportunity to analyze several real-world help wanted advertisements that were posted during the holiday season.


Objectives: Students will be able to:
• Explain why the holiday season is a great opportunity to obtain a job.
• Identify the different industries that hire large numbers of employees during the holiday season.
• Describe the benefits you gain from working a holiday seasonal job.
• Identify the skills and abilities needed for most holiday positions.
• Analyze a holiday seasonal help wanted advertisement.
