Description
This research project is perfect for primary students to research a chosen career and has space for writing and illustrations. This project also includes differentiated writing frames, graph (favorite careers) and questions/data analysis.
If you’re teaching about careers or your students are participating in a “career day” then this product is for you!
This unit is designed to help students research and write about their favorite careers. I have included a choice of writing prompts to differentiate for varying abilities. In addition, you can allow students to use books/digital tools to research their chosen career prior to and during completion of this unit.
This product includes:
3 x career writing prompts (differentiated)
An 8 page career project
*Front cover/title page (students write and draw chosen career)
*What a ----- wears (labeled diagram)
*What a ----- does (descriptive writing and illustration)
*Tools or equipment a --- might use
Students draw and label the tools etc, as well as write a list, using commas.
*Where a ---- works. Students draw the place of work eg. A doctor - draw a hospital.
*Facts about being a ----. Students can write at least 3 facts about their chosen career.
*Our Favorite Careers Graph
*Our Favorite Careers graph analysis - Question page about the graph that include questions such as, “most students chose”, “least students chose”, and “more students chose”.
