This task gives patients an opportunity to identify cause/effect/solutions related to call light use and safety within SNF or hospital rooms.
Scenarios addressed include:
-Call light on floor
-Functional items on floors
-Unsafe ambulation
-Patients in unsafe bed positions
-Patients requesting beverages
-Patients requesting assistance with eating
-Patients requesting assistance with repositioning
-Patients requesting medicine
-Patients requesting help when sick
-Patients requesting help with window shades
Also includes 2 pictures where patients must identify needs and room modifications to prepare for night or general safety.
Minimal instructions are included to enable each SLP to utilize their own clinical style and allow use of current and ever-changing EBP strategies. Be creative in the use of these materials! This stimuli can be used to target:
